Loving Those Who Don't Love Us
Sometimes I feel like I'm blind to some of the blessings that God has given me or little lessons of life that He's taught me that I haven't noticed or maybe have forgotten about. So I got to wondering and meditating on my circumstances growing up. And I ask God," what are the lessons that you have taught me growing up in a house with many children? One lesson comes to mind instantly. Growing up with many siblings there are often times when one don't see eye to eye with the other. Sibling rivalry happens in every home with two or more children, but though you don't always get along, you still love that brother or sister. What if we as Christians applied this principle to our Godly family? We can still serve God's family even with a hurt heart. Give the hurt to God, pray for yourself and the person that has caused that hurt and make up your mind not to hold onto it. When God brings me to His presence upon leaving this earth, I want nothing standing in the way of our relationship. God is the Love of my life. It would be so sad to finally meet Him only to have someone's face flash in front of me that I haven't forgiven. Luke 6:32 I love all parts of my family very much, and have the same high hope for all of them. That is that they Meet and fall in love with Jesus Christ and that their eyes would be opened fully to the love found only in Him! Amen!
