Who Are You in Christ?

To have a wonderful fulfilling relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ is a miraculous thing! Though I believe many people get it wrong. We truly shouldn't belittle that initial prayer, that we said upon realizing our need for our savior, yet many of us haven't stepped out beyond that point. Some people think that Jesus is a stay out of hell card. They think that they can continue living the way they want, and on the day of trouble, they can pull Jesus out of their back pocket, and use Him...What a saddening thought!

Asking Jesus into our lives, is the first, most precious step, in having true life in Him! Asking God to be with us on a daily basis, means we are saying to God that okay, this is it! I am ready to repent, and to start living life,  for God himself, to give Him my heart willingly, and allow God to make changes in me, that He wants to make.

Salvation, requires repentance, and a daily willing heart, to lay aside oneself, and the desires of oneself, for God's desires to take place. Going from the old self to putting on the new, and living it out, is the most difficult, but rewarding at the same time. There might be things in your soul, that will cause a battle between you and Jesus. Something you are not yet willing to give up, but that God wants gone from your life. When you resist God, He will allow Satan to mess with you, ensuring that you will hit that weak spot in your soul, that makes you look up, and again realize that you can't change on your own. You cannot hold onto your sin, and be close in relationship to Jesus! It's like standing at the cross again, and re-nailing Jesus to it! It's an insult to who He is, and to His Ultimate Sacrifice made for you!

We have to ask God daily, to live in us, and to allow us to walk in His love, so that others might see His light shining in us, and want what we have. Upon declaring Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we are now  fishers of men. Our job, now, is to look to help others find the hope of Christ, and as we are obedient to him, He is purifying us.

It is amazing the difference that happens, when we stop looking at ourselves, focus on helping others for a while, and then take a look back into our heart. Awe inspiring is all that I can say!

Other people is the hardest test, I believe, because while we want to do our best for God's glory, to help others, some people are more difficult than others to withstand. We have to be careful, that it is God we are working for, and not the approval of other fallen people. Jesus is the only perfect being!

When we do good works out of our love for Christ, we need to remember, while looking at another person that Jesus paid the same immeasurable price for him/her as He did for us. When we serve someone a meal, we do it as though it were Jesus Himself. When we speak to another, we do it with the same respect, and care as we would for Him.

God's Word, is THE necessary guide to life in Jesus, and what He uses most to speak, to every area of life. If we pay attention and get rid of the unnecessary noise, that pollutes us then we will hear His voice in our souls.

You are beautiful and worthy, because Jesus says you are, with the price of His own life. Make a choice today, to be true to Him, and take Him out of the box, or back pocket, and let His beauty reign in your heart and life. You will not be disappointed!
